Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mistery is the sequel to Knives Out, released in 2019. Written and directed by Rian Johnson, brings back Daniel Craig’s Detective Benoit Blanc to solve another grisly murder in this latest Netflix movie. Moving from New England to a lavish island in Greece, Johnson once again redefines the whodunit mystery subgenre of crime drama.
Miles Bron, the billionaire co-founder of technology company Alpha, hosts a murder mystery game at his Glass Onion mansion on his private island in Greece. He invites five friends: head scientist Lionel Toussaint, Connecticut governor Claire Debella, controversial fashion designer Birdie Jay, men’s rights streamer Duke Cody, and ousted Alpha co-founder Andi. Famous detective Benoit Blanc is also invited, joining the group along with Birdie’s assistant Peg and Duke’s girlfriend, Whiskey.
When the murder mystery game Miles has planned turns into an actual murder, everyone is suspect and each member of the talented cast has a part to play.
Leslie Odom Jr plays Dr. Lionel Toussaint, a very intelligent and determined man, head scientist of Miles’ company.
