L.G.R Release Exclusive Glasses in Support of Space for Giants’ Campaign to Stop the Illegal Wildlife Trade
L.G.R releases exclusive range of luxury handmade glasses, to benefit conservation charity Space for Giants, as part of their continued commitment to a more sustainable future. The funds will help ensure the protection of natural landscapes across Africa, the key species which inhabit these areas and support frontline teams who are working to end the illegal wildlife trade.
L.G.R has curated an exclusive selection of four glasses in collaboration with Space for Giants. L.G.R’s support will contribute to protecting key ecosystems and landscapes so that they can continue to deliver clean air, water, food and other natural resources that are essential to our planetary health.
“Space for Giants is delighted to be collaborating with L.G.R on this exclusive collection. It was important to us to work with brands that align with our values of conservation, coexistence and responsibility” said Space for Giants’s CEO Dr Max Graham. “With L.G.R’s support, we will continue to work with our Government partners to sustainably manage these natural landscapes and protect these vital natural resources before they are lost forever”.
Luca Gnecchi Ruscone, Founder and CEO at L.G.R, said: “Africa to me means freedom and hope. It is a place like no other that must be preserved for generations to come. However, I have also seen the dangers of poaching first hand and that is why I am very happy to be able to support Space for Giants efforts to end the illegal wildlife trade”.
Material selection is at the very core of L.G.R. For this collaboration with Space for Giants, emphasis has been placed on creating sustainable vegan fabric resulting in a durable and exquisite case made from embossed apple leather. The glasses themselves are carefully handcrafted from cellulose acetate – used for its inherent durability and flexibility allowing the frames to adapt to the wearer’s face over time. Each frame is created by skilled artisans using traditional methods of production, in order to deliver an authentic and durable product.
The glasses are on sale through L.G.R website lgrworld.com and in L.G.R Flagship Stores of Milan (Corso Garibaldi 36), Rome (Via della Fontanella di Borghese 22), and Florence (Via Porta Rossa 68R). L.G.R will donate 20% of every purchase to support Space for Giants’ campaign to save endangered animals.
In 2020 Space for Giants joined forces with The Independent to create a campaign aimed at raising funds to Stop The Illegal Wildlife Trade (StopIWT). This year, L.G.R brings their luxury name and exquisite craftsmanship to support the cause.
