L.G.R and Superga launch a Limited Edition sunglasses
to celebrate together the Italian Summer
L.G.R launches a new Special Edition of sunglasses in collaboration with the iconic Italian shoes brand Superga,, sharing common values related to Italian style and authenticity. The communication will focus on the campaign claim “Together to celebrate an Italian summer”, also stamped inside the left temple of the sunglasses to emphasize the limited edition and the exclusive nature of the product.
L.G.R has created a new exclusive model of sunglasses in collaboration with Superga, taking as a reference the L.G.R bestseller model Jambo and customizing it on the basis of the colors and finishes of the new Superga Bold Organic Canvas shoe in organic cotton. To recreate the atmosphere of the classic Italian summer, the campaign was shot on the beach of Forte dei Marmi, setting of iconic Italian films such as “Sapore di mare” (1983).

Material selection is at the very core of L.G.R. The sunglasses are are carefully handcrafted from cellulose acetate – used for its inherent durability and flexibility allowing the frames to adapt to the wearer’s face over time. Each frame is created by skilled artisans using traditional methods of production, in order to deliver an authentic and durable product. For this collaboration with Superga, the finish of the front of the Jambo was achieved through a natural thermal opacification process called sandblasting, preserving the very high quality of the cellulose acetate and giving it a modern twist. The temples reflect the ecru color and black details of the Superga Bold Organic Canvas shoe. The slogan of the collaboration “L.G.R e Superga insieme per celebrare una estate italiana” (“L.G.R and Superga together to celebrate an Italian summer”) is stamped inside the left temple.
