Italian Eyewear Brand L.G.R Release Exclusive Glasses in collaboration with Gruppo Volo Canadair to support the protection and safeguarding of the Italian territory, coinciding with the start of the Summer campaign against wildfires
L.G.R releases the Special Edition sunglass WATERBOMBER to support Gruppo Volo Canadair, as part of their continued commitment to the protection of the Italian territory and naturalistic areas. Considering the possibilities of wildfires that could hit the Italian territory next summer, part of the proceeds from every model sold will be donated to associations active for the conservation of biodiversity and natural landscapes.
L.G.R has created a new exclusive sunglass in collaboration with Gruppo Volo Canadair. The support of L.G.R will actively contribute to protect the natural ecosystems that are essential for the health of our territory, equipping Canadair pilots with the new Waterbomber model, fitted with special “Terre Rare” lenses capable of improving the perception of the contrast between colors.

From that moment I felt the desire to create specific glasses that could really improve the vision of pilots, through the technology of Terre Rare mineral glass lenses, contributing jointly to the cause of the protection of our enormous naturalistic heritage“.
Material selection is at the very core of L.G.R. For this collaboration with Gruppo Volo Canadair, emphasis has been placed on the quality of the lenses, choosing the highest quality “Terre Rare” lenses produced by Barberini that increase and optimize the perception of the contrast between colors. In fact, some of the elements of the Lanthanides (Neodymium, Praseodymium and Erbium) are the only ones that, inserted within the fusion process, have the ability to filter only some colors. The aviator frame is meticulously handcrafted in lightweight Black Matt metal, with red and yellow details that recall the colors of the Canadair CL415 aircrafts. The bayonet temples, featuring acetate tips customized with the collaboration logo and the motto FIRST IN LAST OUT, allow pilots to easily put on and remove sunglasses while wearing headphones during flight.
The model WATERBOMBER will be on sale from Friday 25th June. The glasses will be available for purchase on lgrworld.com and in L.G.R Flagship Stores of Milan (Corso Garibaldi 36), Rome (Via della Fontanella di Borghese 22), and Florence (Via Porta Rossa 68R). L.G.R will donate 20€ of every purchase to support Canadair summer campaign against wildfires.
